DU CSAS-PG 2026 registration is live. Delhi University opened the Common Seat Allocation System for postgraduate admissions on 16 May 2026, with the deadline set for 7 June 2026. If you are sitting CUET PG 2026 and targeting any of DU’s two-year Masters programmes, you must apply on the CSAS-PG portal even before your result is out. Here is the official step-by-step.
What is DU CSAS-PG?
The Common Seat Allocation System for Postgraduate (CSAS-PG) is Delhi University’s centralised admission portal for all two-year Masters programmes (M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., etc.) that accept CUET PG scores. Replacing the older fragmented department-wise admission processes, CSAS-PG was rolled out by DU to bring all PG admissions under a single, transparent, preference-based merit system.
Per the official DU notification, CSAS-PG 2026 covers two-year postgraduate programmes across DU faculties and colleges. The portal is at pgadmission.uod.ac.in – bookmark it.
CSAS-PG 2026 timeline
- Registration opens: 16 May 2026
- Registration deadline: 7 June 2026
- CUET PG 2026 result expected: June 2026 (NTA timeline)
- Programme + college preference filling: after result declaration (Phase 2)
- First round allocation: typically late June / early July 2026 (tentative, watch DU notifications)
- Subsequent rounds: July-August (mid-entry round, upgrade rounds, spot rounds)
Important: registration on CSAS-PG must be completed before 7 June 2026 even if your CUET PG result is not yet out. The score is matched into your dashboard automatically when NTA pushes results to DU.
Three phases of CSAS-PG
Phase 1: Registration and profile
This is what is open right now (16 May – 7 June 2026). You must:
- Create an account on pgadmission.uod.ac.in using a valid email and phone number.
- Fill personal details, address, parent/guardian information.
- Enter academic details – 10th, 12th, graduation marks. Upload scanned mark sheets and degree certificate / provisional certificate.
- Upload a valid category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD) if applicable. The certificate must be in the prescribed central government format and within validity dates.
- Pay the registration fee on the portal.
Phase 2: Programme and college preference filling
This phase opens after the CUET PG 2026 result is declared. You will then:
- See the list of programmes you are eligible for based on your CUET PG subject paper + your graduation stream.
- Add programme-college combinations to your preference list. Order matters – CSAS processes them top-down.
- Lock the preferences. You can edit until the lock deadline; after lock, no changes.
Phase 3: Allocation and acceptance
- DU runs the first allocation round based on your CUET PG score, your preference order, and category-wise seat availability.
- If allocated, you have a fixed window (typically 1-2 days) to accept, upgrade, or withdraw.
- If you accept, you pay the academic fee to confirm the seat.
- If you upgrade, you stay in subsequent rounds for a higher-preference allocation.
- If you neither accept nor pay, the seat lapses and you exit CSAS-PG for that cycle.
Common documents needed
- CUET PG 2026 application number + DOB
- 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
- Graduation mark sheets (all semesters) and provisional / degree certificate
- Aadhaar (or other government photo ID)
- Passport-size photograph and signature in prescribed format
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD) – central government format
- Income certificate (for EWS)
- Disability certificate (for PwBD)
- Migration / character certificate from previous university (some programmes)
Scan everything at 200 DPI in PDF format and keep file sizes within the portal’s limits. Have everything ready before logging in – mid-form upload errors are the #1 cause of last-day submission failures.
Strategy: how to build your preference list
Two principles:
- Programme first, college second. If your priority is the M.A. Political Science programme, list every DU college offering it before moving to your second programme. Switching programmes mid-list throws away the merit edge of your top-choice programme.
- List every option you would actually accept. Do not add programmes you would not join. If allocated and you do not accept, you forfeit. But also do not be over-conservative – the algorithm picks the highest-preference option available to you, not the average.
For students from outside Delhi: factor in hostel availability and city affordability. We have written more on this in our DU programme guide.
Reservation and merit considerations
DU follows the standard central government reservation policy: 15% SC, 7.5% ST, 27% OBC-NCL, 10% EWS, plus horizontal reservation for PwBD. Category certificates must be valid and uploaded during Phase 1 – you cannot add them later. Single-girl-child and Kashmiri-migrant supernumerary quotas have separate eligibility criteria documented in the DU PG Bulletin of Information.
What if I miss the 7 June deadline?
You cannot apply for DU CSAS-PG 2026. There is no offline option, no email-extension request, and no late fee. The 7 June 2026 deadline is hard. If you miss it, your only options are:
- Apply to non-DU universities that accept CUET PG (BHU, JMI, Allahabad, others) via their own portals.
- Wait for the 2027 CSAS-PG cycle.

FAQs
What is the deadline for DU CSAS-PG 2026 registration?
7 June 2026. The portal opened on 16 May 2026 and there is no late-fee option after the deadline.
Can I register for CSAS-PG before my CUET PG 2026 result is declared?
Yes – and you should. Registration (Phase 1) on pgadmission.uod.ac.in is meant to be completed before the result. The score is matched automatically when NTA pushes data to DU.
How is the CSAS-PG merit determined?
By CUET PG 2026 NTA score for the relevant subject paper, combined with your programme + college preference order and category-wise seat availability. There is no separate DU entrance for CUET PG-based programmes.
Can I edit my programme preferences after submission?
Yes, until the lock deadline announced in Phase 2 (after the result). Post-lock, no edits are permitted – so set realistic and ranked preferences.
