During the Exam — 7 Golden Rules
- Read instructions screen completely — don’t skip it. Note the timer location and navigation buttons.
- First 5 minutes = scan all 50 questions — identify easy, medium, hard. Plan your attack order.
- Easy questions first — secure guaranteed marks before attempting tough ones.
- 72 seconds per question — if stuck beyond 90 seconds, mark for review and move on.
- Don’t change answers — your first instinct is usually right. Only change if you’re 100% sure.
- Guessing strategy — only guess when you can eliminate 2 options. Otherwise leave blank (0 > -1).
- Last 10 minutes = review — check marked-for-review questions, verify no silly mistakes.
Subject-Wise Last-Minute Tips
English Language
- Read each passage twice before answering — speed readers make careless errors
- For vocabulary questions, use context clues from the passage
Domain Subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Economics, etc.)
- Revise formula sheets — not full chapters
- For numerical questions, check units before selecting answers
General Test (GAT)
- Current Affairs: Focus on last 6 months of major events
- Reasoning: Draw diagrams for blood relations and seating arrangements
After the Exam
- Don’t discuss answers with friends immediately — it causes unnecessary stress for remaining shifts
- Save your login credentials for checking results on cuet.nta.nic.in
- Start university registration — many universities open portals before CUET results
- Check our university guides at cuetgurukul.com/cuet-admission/ for step-by-step admission process
C — Carry all documents (double-check night before)
A — Arrive 1 hour early (avoid last-minute panic)
L — Leave tough questions for later (easy first)
M — Mark for review (don’t get stuck on one question)
