Panel clears bifurcation for 43 PSUs

The chairperson of the Expert Committee on Bifurcation of Public Sector Undertakings and Corporations, Sheila Bhide said that as of 29 may, proposals have been cleared for bifurcation for 43 PSUs and corporations in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh that fall under Schedule IX of the Constitution. �We are confident of clearing slightly over 50 of the total of 89 by May 31,� she stated at a brief interaction with the media after a hectic day of meetings with representatives of PSUs/corporation managements here on Friday. Some of the bigger ones include the AP State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC), Singareni Collieries and APTransco and APGenco.
