Australia and New Zealand Banking group (ANZ) on Monday announced that it will open its first rural branch in Bengaluru by early next year. Currently, the bank has one branch in Mumbai, which was opened in 2011. Earlier, it owned British bank Grindlays before selling it to Standard Chartered in 2000. About ANZ: ANZ (Australia and New Zealand Banking group) has presence in 15 Asian countries, to open two new branches in India. Along with its Mumbai branch, ANZ has a technology services business in Bangalore, which provides back office services to its Australian and New Zealand operations. Source: The Indian Express
