Innovation quotient less in India. India has slipped in innovation by ten places to 76th position in the world this year even as its peers improved their positions. India is the only country which has fallen among the BRICS economies,the Global Innovation Index (GII) 2014 report says. The report was released by Australia�s industry minister Ian Macfarlane along with its authors Cornell University,INSEAD and World Intellectual Property Organization at the B-20 Australia Summit Quits Google to join SoftBank : Nikesh Arora Google�s chief business officer, India Born Nikesh Arora is leaving the Internet search giant after 10 years and is set to join Japan�s SoftBank as vice chairman . Acquisition of Atco I-Tek by Wipro. Wipro has acquired Atco i-Tek,the IT services arm of Canadian logistics and Utilities provider Atco, for $195 million-its second biggest acquisition ever. The acquisition comes bundled with a 10 year ,$1.12 billion IT outsourcing deal from the Canadian company,the largest contract in Wipro�s history.
